So what do you prefer. I personally prefer the Shengshou v3 because it doesnt pop or misalign. It also turns great. Sorry if this is already been made. if so i dont mind if it is deleted.

Although I like my X-cube and Shengshou V3, I still prefer my QJ

Why QJ? There's no possibility of a misalignment (it's a ball core), and although most QJs aren't like this, mine is very fast with some maru and differential oil. It corner cuts very good and had few lockups.

Mini QJ. I haven't tried an x-cube or Dayan 4x4 yet, but if I did, my preference would likely change.
I'm not too big on the ShengShou V3 as much as other people. It's a good cube and all, but I just don't like the feeling of it.

Don't just add Dayan + MF8, also add the 6.0cm version. Mine just came in the post and it seems to be just like the larger one but with less/no pops. I didn't get a chance to fully test it yesterday since I had plans.

I received mini DaYan yesterday, put out the screws(like on Big DaYan) and lubed with Lubix(even core).
Outer layers are still not so smooth as on the big DaYan, I think because of long wings and big corner wings, but maybe after good breaking in it'll be perfect. Got PB today with it - 51.41 no parity.
P.S. Mini DaYan is WAY better for executing Parity algs than the bigger one!

Oh nice to see some initial feedback on the mini Dayan. Mine was dispatched about 10 days ago so hoping it will drop on my doorstep any day; and really looking forward to it. I love the feel of the Dayan/MF8 but love the size of the SS v3 and consequently the 3x3 stage. I am not sure why as I do not have small hands but the normal D+M just feels too big for me.

Not voted as the D+M option is not there and in all honesty I would vote D+M and SS v3 for differing reasons.

Fixed the poll options to actually include good cubes. Like Dayan+mf8. You know, the cube used for both world records. That one.

I like my maru. I think Breandan's maru is the best 4x4 I've ever used. Some Dayans are good too.

Also lol at people who thought the mini Dayan was going to feel just like the regular Dayan. The miniQJ is way different from the QJ even though it is the same mech, so you should have expected such.

I guess I haven't given up on my Dayan+mf8 yet, but so far, I hate it. It's either really stiff (which is the way it came, quite tight) or else wings pop out like crazy (if I loosen it even a little). And with it set tight, it's really slow for me when solving. So far, I can't imagine switching from my QJ for this - it seems awful. I don't understand why it's so bad when so many people seem to like it - is there some mod that it requires in order for it to be good?

Mine out of the box was exactly the same Mike, very disappointing. I didn't do any mods at all, just set tensions and lubed. Initially I fully dismantled and lubed the 2x2 core with Maru lube. I then set the tensions of the 'shells' at about a full turn back from fully screwed and lubed the covering of the shells, including the edges of them with a thin viscosity shock oil.

I have since played with the tensions as as it had broken in more and more the shell screws are set to fully screwed without the screws being tight if that makes sence. It was more trial and error than anything. Others may have more informed advise for you but this process seemed to work for my cube.

I appreciate the mini Dayan may feel vastly different than its bigger brother. After all all the wings on edges etc seem the same size as the larger cube and therefore smaller in comparison to the cubies themselves, but I do hope the general feel with shock oil is similar as the pieces are still moving over the shells which appear to be similar. That said most of the advantages of these new cubes are a bit wasted with my solve times :)
