My A5 sucks?!

Okay, so I recently ordered an A5 from Lightake. I get it, and out of the box I could barely turn it. I tightened and lubed it (with Jig-a-loo), and it still isn't as good as it's supposed to be. any recommendations?

Well there is your problem! Factory tensions are very tight usually.

Also, why would you get a A5 when you could just get a ZhanChi?

You don't really say what's the problem with the cube. Just that "it isn't good".

If you can barely turn it then I sugest to untighten it instead.

Not all A5s are great; mine it terrible compared to other people's.

Anyway, do the Memory mod. It should make it better, at least somewhat.

Screws might be in crooked...not all assembled cubes are equal.

I did the memory mod on mine and still sucks, is one of the worst cubes that I have.

Maybe you got a bad cube, try the memory mod, looooooossen it, maybe your expectations forth cube are too high.

There is a litlle trick on lightake.there are tym a5 cubes. One of them is right a5 And the second one is a suck one.

Well, everyone is saying tighten but it actually came so loose that I could pull on the edge piece and it would come out (Probably should have stated that earlier). And yes, it is the right one off of Lightake.

I ordered my A5 long before the ZhanChi came out, but it took about 3 months to get here.

I hated my A5 so after like 10 minutes of using it I disassembled it for the springs and washers to put in my skewb and 3x3x2.

Well you should still loosen it, just not THAT loose.

What? Maybe I'm reading all these posts wrong, but that actually seems like the complete opposite. In fact, I don't see anyone saying to tighten.

Oh, look. Opinion stated as fact.

I loved my A5. It cut great corners, was really fast, rarely locked up, and had a great clicky sound.
It was my main until I got a Guhong.
