hi, i just want to ask a question, but do you think the lubix torpedos for the guhong could replace having to mod the lunhui anchors? because it would cost less and you don't have to mod the torpedos.

It says "May require slight cube modification."... so you better buy from Bradley and get a cube including anchors that already fit and including shipping. Besides: You don't get ripped off by paying 8 Dollars (WITHOUT shipping) only for a few pieces which are worth less than a dollar coming without a "spare cube". RPT would be almost cheaper than that...

Indeed every Guhong I've modded I had to do additional modding to 'some' edges so the anchors could fit. I found the total price of Lubix Torpedos with shipping to be $11.94 (and I live ~100 km away.). It's kind of a hidden price in my opinion, and I'm sure it's not fun for customers to discover during checkout. Though Donovan did have a large (very large) expense to have the pieces made and it will take a very long time to break even. It's his business decision and I wish him good luck with that.

I do think that it is a wise decision to get a lunhui... that way people not only have anchors, they also have a cube! Cutting the anchors is a very easy mod.

If you have a dremel...

To Germany it is 12.94$ including shipping. That is the price for more than 2 GhostHand II Cubes.

I just discovered a new modding technique that will make the Godly Guhong ultra smooth. It's not really an extra mod it's just a finish on some of the modded surfaces. I use a polishing dremel bit for this, and I lube the surface just a little so that there is less heat friction when I go over the surfaces. The result is a very smooth surface that looks like new reflective plastic.

So I'm going to finish the cube I'm working on and see how it operates. I've only polished the edges so far. :P

Any sanding I do, I always polish the surface after to a high gloss finish. I'm pretty anal but all the little touches add up to superb cubes IMO. Here in the UK you can get nail buffers from chemists or drugstores that are divided into 8 grades of grit, right down to polish, these are very useful.

I have a few of these and they work great! This is what I recommend people to get for modding. This will be one of the items in my tool kit that I will be selling later this year

I was only wating for the day someone does this and talks about it in the forum... haha... but it's a real pain in the ars doing it with a dremel... there are better methods. Also you don't do it with oil, there are special waxes since it's an abrasive finishing method. Just be careful that you don't melt the plastic ;-)
Oh important sidenote: depending on the oil you're using as a coolant... this may produce Formaldehyde which is very toxic and if inhaled could... well... cause death.

Lol you're right. I'll try some wax on the next cube. My grandfather has a stockpile of tools and other things so I'll see what he's got. He was quite excited to see how I made Godly Guhongs.

I've also melted plastic numerous times... but I've dremelolol'd my knuckles many more times.

But not bee's wax or shoe wax ;-). It's a special wax with a different grain for buffing wheels.
Yeah... if my grandfather would be still alive, I guess he'd intersted too in our hobby as the only one from my family (ok, my 3 year old nephew is quite exited... but what do you expect, it's coloured, can be turned, he doesn't understand it, so of course he is interested haha).
Ok, so if your grandfather doesn't know about buffing wheels and stuff, just get back to me ;-)

Edit: AND NEVER WEAR GLOVES if you cling to your hands...

Sorry if I'm getting on your nuts, but are you going to send me my cube soon?

Thanks to the Canadian postal strike I just received my godly guhong today. I'm pretty new to the cubing thing so I've only ever used cubes I've lubed and tensioned myself (A5, F2, standard guhong, c4u, etc), I've never had the opportunity to try a cube someone else has tensioned and prepared so I wasn't sure what to expect when I first tried this cube.

This cube far exceeded any expectations I had, maybe just because I haven't really experienced any other good cubes to compare it to, or maybe because it's really just that good. Either way I'm very happy with mine and might have to order a second. Thanks very much.

Whew I'm catching up! There are some of you that have to wait an extra 1-2 weeks because of my website glitch (ordering when it's actually out of stock). So that's what happened, I got a TON of GG orders and I couldn't stop them along with the Zhanchi rush that is now slowing down. Thank you guys for your patience. Happy cubing!

WHEW!!! I'm all caught up. I have reopened GG ordering. Because of my work schedule I will only allow 3 people waiting at a time.

In the next couple of days I will have a video with details and a tutorial about the Zhanchi CPM (Center Piece Mod). It is also available for sale on my store right now.

Happy Cubing!
