Righty Or Lefty??

Which Is Your Dominent Hand

I put righty, but I'm somewhat mixed. My right hand is better at harder triggers like R U , R' U , R U' R but my left hand is more dextrous than my right for more fine tuned triggers.

For example my right hand is much faster at A perm, with harder triggers, but my left hand is much faster at T, J perms and Sunes because they require more dexterity.

I put "Lefty" as my "Dominent"[sic] hand. I started out as righty, but my left hand is definitely stronger now. I still use more right-handed OLL's/PLL's though.

I'm left but I use both equally much.

Look at this for example:

a COLL: R' U L U' R U' L' U' L U' L' ... solves a pi case (really fast alg based on Niklas+Sune, Gunnar did it sub 2 when he tried it =) That alg I consider an R alg because it starts in R. When doing it on a solved cube it sets up a H-case, not a pi and to solve that case I do not use the inverse but the mirror inverse that I consider is an L alg: L' U' L U' L' U' R U' L U R'

And why do I do that, I can probably do the inverse of the first instead of mirror inverse equally fast? Well, it was to make it two totaly diffrent algs when I learned to do COLL so I did not confuse the algs for the cases, pi starts in R and H in L =)

After 6 years of cross-on-left cubing, my right hand has clearly developed better then my left hand. But my goal is to develop equal dexterity and control in both hands.

About 8 months ago, my left hand was almost disabled. The only thing it ever did was hold the cube and trigger U' with the left index finger. Attempting even the most basic finger tricks left handed felt very awkward. Today I can perform almost all my right handed finger tricks left handed and I would say at about 70-80% of the speed.

There's still a long way to go for me but it already feels great to be able to use my both hands while it looked almost impossible a while ago. I would encourage other cubers to work on this because it gives you so much more options. I originally started doing this to improve my F2L, which I now solve with cross on the bottom, but I found it also helped with my cross building and solving centers on big cubes.

a COLL: R' U L U' R U' L' U' L U' L'

That is my most favorite COLL alg. :)

Like I can play badminton with right or left equally good (or bad)

We should play some time. :)

I'm a lefty who has been corrupted by all the right-handed speedcubers into going with <R,U> algorithms. Oh well, I'm pretty fast with left-handed algs anyway.

I thought the "handedness" question was about what hand you *write* with. For most people that's their dominant hand, and is what they do most sports with. I'm an odd case because I'm left handed (writing), but do all traditional sports activities with my right. With the cube, my stronger, faster hand is my right.

I'm the opposite. I write with my right hand, but I'm left handed while throwing, batting, etc. I do OH (however rarely) with my left hand as well. While boxing though, I'm dominant with my right hand.

I'm a lefty but i'm so much comfortable doing algs with my right hand. because that's how i learned to do it and two of my fingers on my left hand aren't good when it comes to finger tricks since they are weaker than the rest of my fingers

I'm right-handed and prefer doing algorithms involving plenty of R U moves. However, I do try to make full use of my left hand, by using it to build the cross and executing some PLLs.
