Don't push yourself.
I realized I just sliced 20 seconds off my average of yesterday. O_O Practice does make perfect O_O
Now I have to look ahead
But I'm kind of disappointed.. I can't do F2L Fast anymore. Now I have to look ahead or else I get really slow times. Before I never had to look ahead...
Haha screw Look ahead.
How is look ahead slower in any way? Once you see a pair and can comfortably solve it without looking, then try finding other pairs WHILE you're solving. It's very fast lol.Haha screw Look ahead. I just did F2L Practicing with a metronome at faster than my F2L Pace. It makes my average more consistent.![]()
It's all about lookahead and smooth turning. I hope this motivates some people to work on smoothness - while turning fast is useful for faster times, it's definitely not necessary if you're looking to break the 20 second barrier.
Remember: time = delay + (number of turns / turning speed). If you can get that delay down to nearly zero, you don't need to turn anywhere near as quickly as someone who pauses for an extra half a second between each step - that adds 3 seconds onto your time right there!
I don't mean it that way. From the original post, he sounded as though he was pushing himself way too hard to be like Feliks. Do you honestly think it's a good idea for people to try to be like others? Inspiration is perhaps a good thing, but they'll just get frustrated if they don't happen to achieve the same things as that person.lolhorrible advice.
Don't try hard. Be complacent with where you are. Don't try to push yourself to be better. Mediocrity is the best.
So, in another thread, you said that just by lubing your cube, you shaved 30 secs from your average.
And now, with just 1 day of practice, you've shaved another 20 seconds?
