Awful QJ Cube

Hey guys I just bought a bunch of new cubes, one of which was the QJ Mini 4x4.
So, out of the box it was very stiff and difficult to turn so I took it apart to loosen the screw and lube it. After doing this and putting it back together it can't do a double-layer turn. It's like the center is misaligned but it's not.
Can anyone help?

What's the best 4x4 to buy? I have a rubik's, dayan+mf8, and now this piece of shhh. The dayan is the best so far but I know it's not the best.

Thanks!

I ran out of Silicone so I used this stuff called "Liquid Wrench Super Lubricant". I've used it on other cubes before and it's worked fine so I don't think that's the case.
Could it be that the QJ Mini 4x4 is just a really really bad cube?

you could have put the centers back on wrong, because if you looked at it before you took it apart it has thes grooves in it to allow only one layer to actually move, which stops it from misaligning
take it apart, try again

So if the lube is the problem...
I put that in all of my new cubes.
Could it have done damage in the.....10 hours it's been in them?

Oh! Good point, the lube can't destroy the cube in that short amount of time. You will need to clean it out though (clean the core if you lubed the cube by taking 1 edge out and spraying it). Buy a lube that doesn't have petroleum, just silicone.

I'm SO confused! I've taken this cube apart and reassembled it 4 times! It will not turn through the center in one direction! It does through the other two.
AY! What is wrong with this cube!?

Probably some part is either missing, loose the wrong way, or fused improperly. It does seem like the QJs are easily damaged. All of my QJs (2 mini and 3 regular sized) are really very good (none of mine are damaged), but I haven't bothered with any spray lube, because they were all so good without. I've added CubeLube (I still have 3/4 of a bottle of it from a few years ago), but that's all. One of the minis broke, but I superglued it together and now it's one of the best I have.

I have to confess I have a QJ mini and didnt like it much, but admittedly I did not persevere with it and I got my Shenshou within a few days and I do like that cube a lot with the edge piece mod. Have a DaYan/MF8 on its way from Lightake too. But I can see why the QJ is not rated by some. Maybe mine would improve if I bothered to break it in.
