guys, what's the algorithms to solve the outer edges of the last layer on a 5x5x5? my cube looks like this: (seen from above to the top layer)

X:correct
O:incorrect

XOXOX
OXXXO
XXXXX
OXXXO
XOXOX

thanks !!

well the actual one is:
ABCDE
1 XXXOX
2 OXXXO
3 XXXXX
4 OXXXO
5 XOXOX

5B goes to 4E or 2E
4A goes to 4E or 2E
5D needs to be flipped.
2E goes to 5B
2A goes to 1D
1D goes to 2A
2E goes to 4B

kinda hard to explain :S

GAH!!! this is very annoying :P i've tried edge pairing which is supposed to be easier but i can never figure out the last 4 edges on the last layer without messing up the rest. plus it takes me lots of time to edge pair.

What Kirjava is telling you is a very fundamental part of solving the larger cube wing edges.

5B goes to 4E or 2E
4A goes to 4E or 2E
5D needs to be flipped.

Each of these is impossible on a 5x5x5 cube. As Kirjava described it, a wing edge can only go to one possible location. Also, there is no concept of "flipped" for wing edges.

For example, and using your diagram, saying that piece 5D needs to be "flipped" is impossible. If this piece appears to be flipped compared to the colors around it, then what is really happening is that the piece in 5D needs to be sent to location 5B. If 5B is solved on your cube, and 5D still appears to be "flipped" then you have an impossible arrangement of the stickers on your cube and will need to resticker the piece at 5D.

The key thing to realize is that 5x5x5 cube wing edges are not the same type of piece as the edges on a 3x3x3. This is very important to understand, otherwise we will continue to tell you that your descriptions are "unclear" or "ambiguous" and you will likely continue to be frustrated that we aren't answering your questions.

Taking a look at your cube again I want you to fix the following:
5B goes to 4E or 2E
This is impossible. Either 5B goes to 4E or 5B goes to 2E. You cannot have both 4E and 2E as possible options, only one of them is where this piece is really supposed to be sent. Look again and tell us which location is the one that 5B is supposed to go to. Listing both 4E and 2E is not possible on bigger cube wing edges.

4A goes to 4E or 2E
Impossible for the same reasons as the pieces above.

5D needs to be flipped.
This means that 5D needs to be sent to 5B.

If you can give us a more specific description of where exactly each piece is supposed to go, then we will be able to be more helpful.

:S maybe i could take a picture of it and upload it here? i would also later need if anyone has a method to solve the last layer using a layer by layer solution

Go to bigcubes.com and you will find what you need.

Yet another noob who thinks that bigcubes.com is the answer to everything...

Sorry but there is no such thing as a solution to that case on bigcubes.com, unless you don't care about messing up the other layers.

If you are using Reduction, it doesn't matter if you mess up the other layers, becuase you fix them last in the 3x3 step.

Everything you could need, is written there, really.

Taking a picture might help, but to be honest uploading an image from paint with the top colours and side colours on the top layer will help even more...
similar to the images on kirjavas K4 tutorial, this helped me with what seemed like an impossible case on my 4x4
