Just because you want the 8x8 released doesn't me that releasing the 2x2 was a bad idea. If you're so begging for an 8x8, you make it. See what it takes to accomplish such a feat. I guarantee you that it's not as simple as it looks. If you have the solution to the V-6's problems write up a patent, make a prototype and start selling it to us all. I'm sure your design would be different enough that he wouldn't be able to say anything about it since you'd have to change it so much to eliminate the need for the clicking mechanism. The Dazzler and Illusion make Verdes money. Why, you may ask? They're cheap to produce You may not want it but if it's easy to manufacture and can bring a profit then why not make it? The money those cubes brought in have helped to finance the development of new V-Cubes, such as the V-2.
I'm not sure why you consider the V-2 "cheap" or that it's being thrown in your face. Seeing as how most people have never touched one you can't say anything about it's quality. Or are you saying the V-2 isn't as worthy because it's only a 2x2 and not the magnificent 8x8 you've been waiting for?
If V-Cube want's to try and make the pillowed design it's trademark, then let them. They could released a pillowed 2-11 and then people would immediately recognize his cubes everywhere. You may not want his pillowed 2x2, cool bro, don't buy it.
The amount of money it takes to release larger cubes is most likely much more than what it takes for him to produce the V-2. Like I said before, it's a cheap cube to produce and there's a large market for 2x2's. The V-2 could easily just be his way of getting the revenue to produce other cubes.
Edit: Nobody cares what you want. You are one person. One consumer. Verdes is thinking of the whole cubing population. Yes, many of us would buy the V-8 but it wouldn't sell as much as a 2x2 will. Understand that. 2x2s are more popular because they can be used in competition and not just for pure recreation. Even though you have a good 3x3 and 4x4 right now in a year or two they'll be out-dated. You may think the GuHong is the best in the world right now but it clearly isn't the best it can be since the Lubix GuHongs are so much better. And your 4x4 may be good but all 4x4's are lacking in design just because the best has yet to be made. There's no clear cut "best cube" and until there is, there's room for improvement, and that improvement may very well come from Verdes.
