This is EXTREMELY good for me.
To give you an idea of how fast this is for me: I've only ever had around 5 sub-50 solves and my pb is 40.63.
The reaction isn't a "YEEAAAAAHHHHHH!!!"... it's more of a "WHAT?!?".

Most of my edges are memorised with one syllable letter pairs and everything else is done visually.
My visual memory is not good, so the main factor in a solve is the corner memo.
I love corners which are in spots easy to memo, obviously these corners were in easy spots. My reaction during memo kind of gives that away.

Before I started, I didn't know whether to go for a safety solve in an attempt to secure a place, or to go fast but have a higher risk of getting a DNF. I'm very glad I went with the second option.

I had a few 1:0x DNFs, but this is my only good official success.
My stats won't look good with my two best official times being 1:24 and 40. :fp
I hope people don't think too badly of this. :(
Next comp I will definitely need another sub-1, in order to get rid of this grossness.

The actual solving:
UF and UBL are my buffers.
In this solve I used BH/comms for the corners and a combination of TuRBo and comms for the edges:

Scramble: D R2 F2 R2 F2 U F2 U R2 D B' R U2 B2 U2 B2 U F2 U' R F'

Orient: x' y

Corners:
U [L' D' L] U' [L' D L]
L2 [U R2 U'] L2 [U R2 U']
[R' D R D' R' D R] U [R' D' R D R' D' R] U' = 32 HTM

Edges:
B L U (Lw' U' L U M U' L' U L) U' L' B' - Oops, about this... I was rushing too much so didn't do R U R' U' M' U R U' Rw'.
L R' (M U M' U2 M U M') R L'
R' [D' M D] R [D' M' D]
x y' M U' M' U2 M U' M' y x'
D L2 R2 (M U M' U2 M U M') R2 L2 D' = 54 STM

Total = 86 moves STM
Execution: 86/21.88 = 3.93 TPS

This is exactly how I executed it, the solution looks pretty funny with no cancellations. I particularly like the L R' M.

I know you cant see it in the vid but, you should of seen your judge, he was like c'mon c'mon!!!!
Haha, Josh was great, he judged me on a lot of things.
That was really good. I think you are not far away from being another Australian World record holder :-)
Thanks :), maybe one day I will get a world record... (This is where you come in and solve the corners before I start).

This scramble was very nice, and the memorising and execution phase flowed so much better than usual for me. I honestly don't think I'll ever officially beat this time.
