I am not new to cubing. I can accomplish the easy method with a few algorithms memorized in just over 55 seconds (was my self timed unofficial record), average about a minute. Due to the method being limited I cannot decrease my time anymore. I need a new method that requires very little memorization and very intuitive. Which one can you recommend that's fast to learn and can cut my time in half with a little practice?

This is false. You can further reduce your times by practicing more.
It is possible to get sub-20 times with a beginners method.

he should take the magic cuber potion + magic cube dust then. He'll be sub-30 in less than a few hours.

Waffle I have seen your tutorial on the roux method. I have tried beginning to learn this but it seems overwhelming, which algs should I learn exactly? I have seen quite a lot of them for this method. I also don't understand how to permute the final layer and get those edge pieces right, can you help explain it better? Thanks.

I will try to learn a few tricks to get my time down for the beginner method. I have begun F2L too. Any other help?

Also the fridrich method has a lot of algs I will agree.

Learn Petrus...there's not really algs you have to learn?...I learnt it without Algs and I can get sub-30 averages ( because I don't practice it, I'm not great at it)
I can also get sub-30 averages with beginners method

Thank you for that link waffle! I will look over it and try to master the roux method. It seems more my speed than the others I have seen!

Also, as far as making the cube smoother in it's rotations, any help? I also often seem to snag the cube when I try to turn it quickly after completing a turn before it.

I can sub 30 the method Dan Brown teaches and am around 20 seconds with 2 look last layer Fridrich.
Unfortunately you are just going to have to practice to halve your times.
