How long did it take you to get a sub 20 avg?

to this date I've been cubing for 4 months(I started on January 1st of 08) and my average is in the low to mid 30s (I havent done it in a while) with a best single solve of 21.78s. How long did it take you guys to get that infamous sub-20?
(BTW: My problem is still the F2L I just can't seem to get a steady F2L under 20 seconds)

single sub20 took me 7 months and sub20 avg took me a year and 3 months, in fact it just happened a week ago

How fast you get there is all about the amount of practice.

Not just the amount, but also *how* you practise.

not yet for average. You should get sub-20 single quite soon.

I got my sub-20 single (Lucky, Computer scramble) (14.xx) when averaging 28's and sub-20 single (Lucky, hand scramble) (5.xx). Nonlucky a few days ago when averaging 25's which about 3 months from mid-30's.

EDIT: I have no idea what I said.

6 and a half months Now I'm sub 18 and around 7 and a half months of cubing
