So I have an interesting predicament:

I currently own an Alpha-V and a storebought, which is well broken in and lubed. For the holidays, I need to give cubes to two of my friends. I have several options for cubes right now:

-Dayan GuHong
-Dayan Liungyun
-ShengEn F-II
-GhostHand II
-My Alpha-V
-My storebought (needs new stickers)

I plan on buying 2 cubes, 1 for each of my friends, and then I will have 2 left over for myself. I want to know which ones you think would be best for beginners, and also which ones I should get for myself. Thanks!

Id say any of those cubes would be great for a beginner, but i think the guhong, f2 or ghost hand would be best to give. They feel better than the a5, and definitely better than the rubiks.

When I was a beginner the only cubes we had were Rubik's storeboughts and DIYs, and we LIKED it!

No, but seriously, any DIY is more than fine for a beginner. A good cube is not at all necessary until you are nearing 20 seconds.

here is my plan as of the moment:

Friend #1:re-stickered storebought

Friend #2: Whatever I like the least out of the following
-my alpha-v
-f-II
-GuHong/lingyun (to be decided)

unless someone has something amazing to say about the gh2, im going to take it off the list

A piece of advice to you, try not to get the LingYun, mine pops like theres no tml is i overturn abit(i haf test all the tension and yet it still pops)

While, GuHong is a great cube, but not yet perfect one for me~
but i still would like to recommend you GuHong~

GhostHandII is a lightcube, i like it alot too~

and storeboughts juz ignore them, you need to do alot of breakin in to make it a good cube....

i broke my rubik's in and it's pretty nice :D but only if i could change the screws... oh well alpha 6 not bad at all lol
