I've talked with Verdes about this.
You will have to wait long time, because V-cube company don't have money now to make prototypes.
And according to what Verdes said, it takes a lot of money to produce new cube.
But also all competitors of V-cube Spiel will get a new cube (not 5x5,6x6 or 7x7). As soon as I get it I'll make a video and review.

Hence, veredes does not care about the speedcubing community other than we are a money source for him.. he probably only cares about $$$. Why would he spend the effort when its not going to get him returns.. the market for 6x6 and 7x7 are monopoly (in some sense) and the market is open for 2-5.. why would he want to compete when he can just snag guaranteed funds?

Wohoo!! gratz! this must be the 100th thread with the same topic anniversary!! :)

I know, I counted each one and came to 99.9999999999 so I posted this so I can be the 100th person, yepee!

I think the v-cube 8x8, 9x9, and 6b will come out first; then the 10x10 and 11x11; then finally the v-cube 2-4

I really find it strange if it's true as Michal says that V-Cube is out of money and unable to produce prototypes. They must have sold a LOT of 5-7 layer cubes now.
When the 5-7 was released they could, as far as i know, only be bought on there webpage but now you will find them in stores even her in sweden.

This is a very ignorant and "gutsy" post.

People need to understand a new Business and how cash flows after starting up.

I opened Puzzle Addictions 2 months ago, and I have to say the first set of inventory uses a lot of funds... and selling products to hopefully break-even on a certain level to be able to place additional orders for more inventory is very difficult.

I did not get a bank loan for my start up.... so perhaps V-cube did, and they're struggling to repay their debt before borrowing more money to produce other puzzles. In a business you can't borrow more money unless you have paid off your initial debt. A single person can go very broke and in debt... but a business cannot.

Other cubes will be released. The only thing is that V-cube company don't have enough money to release the now. As Verdes told me, he needs 400000€ to release new cube. And as we know V-cube is little company :D.
So stop complaining about that there is no more v-cubes.

I don't see a big enough market for >7.
I can see V-4s and V-6bs selling,if they can sort out the misalignment issue.
Why would they bother competing with the current 3x3 market?
Dayan released the LingYun so soon after the GuHong that they are clearly striving for perfection
and the other companies are going to have to keep up to stay in the game.
If the development costs for the V-2 are low I suppose they might go for it.

But who knows, in 5 years everyone in the community could view Verdes 2 - 4 just as we view V-5s now.
(I'm assuming the vast majority consider V-5s as head and shoulders above the rest)

edit - 400k in euros to release a new cube? I'm more than a little sceptical.

Yea you're right. I don't see Verdes dedicating his life to creating a brilliant design for extremely stable cubes so that the cubing community can have decent cubes larger than 3x3. No no, it's clearly all about the profits.

I think the 8 and probably nine later this year. Anyway they will got up before down. According to the Future of V cube thread or on the 5th anniversary
