Hi guys!

My name's Marco and I'm an "almost-new" cuber from Italy... I started cubing about 7 monthes ago...
I really suck at speedsolving and I can't speak english very well... I'm addicted to blindsolving... and I like Fewest Moves and Square-1 too...

I like this forum because there are many cubers and many damn good blinders so I hope to learn much and improove myself more and more...

my PBs and avg:

3BLD: 1:48.xx / 1:50-2:10
4BLD: 18:xx.xx / sub20
multiBLD 4/4 28:xx.xx
3x3: 17.xx / 24-25
FM: 39
sq-1: 32.xx / 45-47
5BLD: DNF! XD...

I use freestyle for 3BLD and for big cubes I use freestyle for centers r2 for edges and freestyle for corners...
I'm searching in these days for some algs for bad cases...

bye! :D

I use letters (for ex A-P-T = Albert Plays Tennis) for centers and edges and letters (for example A-B-E-T-Q-I-F-C I memorize ABET QIF C) for corners... 5bld is too hard for me at the moment... for 4bld I memorize in this order... corners-edges-centers and i solve centers-edges-corners..

Hi Marco!

Nice to meet another blindsolver on the forum! It sounds like you have done quite a bit for having only been cubing 7 months, that's great! You may want to start looking into memory methods a bit more at this point. It sounds like you are already using good solving methods.

for example A-B-E-T-Q-I-F-C I memorize ABET QIF C

This can work quite well if you're good at coming up with words on the fly like this. For 5x5x5 and larger cubes it can get confusing, for me at least, if my words are mostly or all nonsense words. You may want to look into a letter pair system. Using your same letters I would memorize:

A-B-E-T-Q-I-F-C
ab yet quite face

Although this phrase is nonsense, it's not as hard to memorize since the words are regular words.

Nice to meet you, and happy blindsolving!

Chris

Welcome to the forums :) You're pretty good at blindsolving for only 7 months of cubing

I know my memory system sucks but I like it for corners... in 3BLD I finish memo at 40-50 secs usually... I find difficult doing "look ahead" with the freestyle... when I solved two edges I can't think immediatly to the other two pieces... I think it's just a matter of practice...

Hello Marco, good to see your interested in blindsolving. Perhaps try to explore more imagary indepth methods to assist you getting a successful 5BLD solve. :)
Just take a look through the Blindfold Cubing section and take a look at memory associated threads, such as this one http://www.speedsolving.com/forum/showthread.php?785-Memory-Methods
