What would you consider a "Lucky" or "Non-lucky" solve?

Sometimes I get really nice times, and I'm not sure if I should classify them as a lucky, or non-lucky PB. What do you consider a lucky solve? A good cross, OLL or PLL skip, multiple 3-move F2L's?

Thanks,
David Weisiger

Accidental X cross/solved F2L pair, OLL skip, or PLL skip. I also consider a 2 move cross, or a 3-6 move F2L slot (throughout the entire F2L) to be lucky.
A OLL skip by using an alg that you know will skip OLL during the last F2L pair is not lucky.
A PLL skip by using COLL/another alg that alos solves some permutation is not lucky.

I don't think this should classify the entire solve to be lucky. If this were to happen more than once I would however.

I would always say that "Non-lucky" and "Full step" are very different terms.

To me (I know most people disagree with this) a fundamentally easy solve that I didn't deliberately make easy in any way is considered lucky. So if all the F2Ls were 3 or 4 moves each followed by Sune and an H perm I would class that as a lucky solve, despite it being "full step".

To me, a solve that isn't full step is one where a stage is skipped without you planning for it to skip. My general rule for this is that if I know it's going to skip from the START of the STAGE BEFORE then GENERALLY It isn't a skipped step. Obviously this only is really true if you have an alternative way of solving the previous step should a different "future case" arise.

I hope this makes sense. Basically, it's a very grey area and nobody agrees.

Simples.

I meant every F2L slot in the solve took 6 or less moves to solve. And even if it is not lucky, it is still easy...

Randomtoad: I get what you mean.

Oh, okay I get what you meant. I thought you meant that anywhere in the F2L if this happened once it was lucky. I would consider this lucky too.

imo

Lucky: Skipped step
Non-lucky: No skipped steps
Easy: Well, just easy. 4, 3 move F2L slots in one solve for example, I'd consider very easy, but not lucky

It's kind of a misnomer.

lucky to me is 0-3 move crosses, accidental multislot or xcross, accidental OLL skip or PLL skip. if the cube gives you lucky cases throughout the solve, it is lucky. i do not find a sune lucky, i find it convenient. i think a lucky solve requires a certain amount of accidental, unintentional, good cases to happen for it to be lucky. of course, PLL skip is lucky, OLL skip is also lucky. for the cross and F2L, i find many good cases have to happen for me to consider it lucky. xcross + accidental multislot, 2 move xcross, 2 move cross and many 3 move F2L slot, i also think that lucky can be consisdered a solve in which i have no cube rotations after cross, not using funny algs, just easy insertions.

I usually have at least two F2L pairs that are 3-6 moves in every solve. I think the 6 should be lowered to something like 4, even so, I get a lot of those as well. I think it's lucky if every F2L pair is just the 3 or 4 moves, or maybe 3/4 pairs. Two pairs is quite common (for me anyhow).

X Cross in 3 moves or less, unless its a quad in 10 moves then it is uber lucky.
Multiple pairs in the top layer during F2L.
Any skip (OLL, CMLL, PLL, EO(for ZZ))

For Roux this is definitely lucky: R2 B' R' U L2 F2 L2 D2 F2 R D2 R D' B2 L F R U2 R2 F' L2 R2 U' L' R'
