Forgive me for sounding inexperienced, because I am, but I need help picking a good cube for me. I want a cube with minimal pops or locks, that turns fairly smoothly, and can cut corners about 1/2 cube. What do you recommend? I'm sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but I do not know much about the types of cubes.

Almost all newer ones can cut at least half a cubie assuming your tensions are pretty normal. They all turn smoothly by different definitions too. Minimal pops depends on your tensions. Locks depends on your tensions, and your style...

So, Basically, any cube will work?

Pretty much... Even if you don't like it at first, you'll learn to like it...

If you want smooth, F-II is the way to go.

Only downside is it it's loose, you'll get pops. Just keep it at the right tension settings and you'll be fine though.

Thank you! I'll give it a try. Anything is better then my cube, which cuts corners about 3 degrees, is way to tight, locks up every 2-3 turns, and is not smooth at all. I think it is a Rubiks brand, and not made for speedsolving.
