On 9/18 there will be a "Moon Festivle" celebration held by this Taiwanese organization in Toronto. I helped them as a volunteer in one of their event in the past before, and this time they asked me to help them organize a "Rubik's cube competition" along with also a sudoku competition as one of the games in the party.

We're planning to have the "competition" seperated into a "beginner's group" and a "pro's group". The "beginner's group" is for those who doesn't know how to solve the cube, so it would be something like "solve one side" etc. The "pro's gruop" will be solving the 3x3. So we need some cubers in Toronto who could help us out by simply competing in the "pro's group", just so that it won't be a boring event. It doesn't matter how fast you are, just as long a you are able to solve the cube. I'd really appreciate if any of you could help us out by doing so...it really means a lot.

The party will be at the Taipei Economic & Cultural Centre in Toronto (888 Progress Ave., Scarborough) at around 4pm~6pm (I'm not sure if that's the time for the cube event or the whole thing...will check later). There will be lots of drinks and snacks (cuz it's organized by Taiwanese lol). There will be a prize for the winner of the "pro's" group

So if any of you could come and participate in the event will really be a great help for me :D If you are intrested, please post a reply below.

And if you could have any 3x3 that you don't really use as much that is usable, we need 3~5 cubes in total for the "beginner's group" competition. (It's be best if it's in black lol)

Thanks a bunch.

it's a Moon Festivle celebration.

@PwnAge: You just needs to be able to solve the cube to compete in the "pro's group"...doesn't need to be fast.

anybody else? Just so that you know, if not enough people is competing at the event we'll need to cancel the "pro's group".
(It sounds cocky, yes. The "pro's group")

Now, I need to know who is gonna come FOR SURE because we need to know how many lunch boxes we need to order (more like dinner box though :P).

And also, the REAL snacks is after the event, but there will still be some smaller snacks available during the event.

The "pro's group" (and just to remind you once again, that you don't need to be a "pro", just simply be able to solve the cube) will be solving the 3x3; the "amature's group" one the other hand have 2 events: solving one side, and reverse moves. Please note that you can't compete in the "solve 1 side" event as we want to leave the chances to win for those who are non-cubers.

There will be prizes for the winner of each events.: storebought cubes for the two "amature's group" event and the Rubik's slide for the pro's group.
