I saw some DIY Square-1's on cube4you.com and I had a couple questions because i want to get a Square-1

1. Are they easy to put together?
2.Can you ajust them like DIY cubes?
3. Is it worth getting it instead of the assembled one's?

1. Yes, but they come assembled. It's harder to take them apart than assemble. :-P
2. Yes
3. Depends on if you want an original Sq-1 or a pretty good, less expensive Sq-1.

Lucas you are misunderstanding it. He means the green/red ones.

1. No.
2. Yes.
3. No.

I think you're half-misunderstanding it.

First: Okay, I didn't notice that the red/green once have to be assembled. I've bought white, black, and transparent and extrapolated...
Also, I would actually prefer to assemble mine, but I already know how the mech works...

However, I believe coopersacatfilms thought that DIY automatically means "assemble yourself," versus this.

Would you agree that if he just wants a good Square-1, this is fine?

1.they are hard to put together...VERYHARD
2.YES
3.id say it makes a good speedcube

Bumping into an old thread.

Where's the best place to get a Square-1 if price is not an issue? Is there a general consensus among cubers? (Something like Meffert's being the best place for a Megaminxes and Pyraminxes.) Another question, should it be DIY or not? I don't think I'd mind the difficulty of assembling or shipping or stuff like that, I just wanna know about performance during speedcubing (speedsquaring?).

In short, if I'm gonna get only 1 Square-1 and I want it to be very very good, where can I get it? Thanks.

Are you asking me or is it a general question? 'Cause Joshua Li and Tim Sun seem to think so.
