I was just wondering whether you think it would be better to buy a DIY cube already assembled and ready to go or to have to assemble it yourself.

Pros and Cons?

I don't care if is come assembled or not because the first thing I do is disassemble it, cut off any excess casting flash, sand the pieces down smooth and reassemble it.

I actually prefer screwing the centers into the core myself because sometimes the screws are not aligned properly from the factory.

Obviously, pre-assembled can be less effort on your part and that's always nice. However, it's not difficult to assemble a cube, and sometimes it's nice to be able to set the whole thing up as you like it from the very beginning.

You shouldn't care, basically. What matters is the cube, not how it came to you.

This reminds me of the prebuilt computer vs. building your own computer argument that pops up every so often on another forum I frequent.

However, in the case of the cube, it doesn't make much difference either way; the parts are identical and dissembling and re-assembling are trivial.
