Hey guys,

i just did this solve (2x2), and using the Ortega method i got this solution:

Please try this scramble and see what solution you get using the Ortega.

Scramble (Green side towards you, Orange to the left) : F U' R F' R' U F' R2

Solution:

(with Orange L shape on bottom, the (last)Orange piece on the top right facing to you)

OFL: URU'R'

OLL: RU2'R'U'RU'R'

PLL: (U2) RU2R'U'RU2LUR'U'L

Time: Could be a 2-3 sec solve, depending on cube you have...

This thread belongs here.

And I got 1.63

x' z' R' U' R U (R' U' R U' R' U2 R) U

You can say its CLL or ortega with PBL skip (lets not make this into an ortegazb debate thread)

I thought about putting this post in that thread, but then i thought it's not a crazy/weird/hard scramble. I just wanted to see what people would get with this scramble; i didn't think it was easy, just normal i supose.

I hope this answers your question. Thanks

This solve can still be fast, but generally the fastest Ortega solves are ones that don't end up in a J or Y perm.

My solution:

Purposely build diagonally permuted bottom layer:

x2 U' R2 U R2

U2 F R U' R' U' R U R' F'

U R' U R' F2 R F' R U'

3.67 and I'm not even an Ortega user :D

My solution is close to Ben's but slightly different:

z' y' L' U' L U2 L U2 L' U' L U' L
