... Erno Rubik solving his cube? Is there any video of it anywhere? I've read that when making the initial worldwide push of the cube in the late 70's Erno used to personally demnonstrate the cube by solving it himself. I'm surprised that it doesn't seem to be on video. To anyone that may have seen this, what is his "method"?

Thanks,
Mike

im guessing he did something strange to us because he had to do it intuitively, algorithms didnt exist back then, i doubt its efficient, but hey, he solved it right?

If you think about it, this guy could make a small fortune (well, small to him) if he just made a video solving the cube! I'm sure it would get so popular, (at least as popular as Dan Brown's tutorial) that YouTube would ask to put revanue sharing on it.

We do not know that , not efficient is likely , but I doubt it was intuitively. When I first got the cube in 1980 there was no internet , and I was not aware of any published solution. I made pictures of the moves that where effective, this is how I note down the algorithms. I found a 3 edge cycle at first, and the corners I did somewhat inefficient , but that because I only used a "sune".

After I solved it I encountered solution with notations, I adopted the notation but not the algorithms , I was until 2000 before I used any method of others
