Breaking bad habits....

Try closing your eyes as soon as you recognize your PLL and just do it without looking. It should be all muscle memory anyway, and that way you don't get to look at your timer.

What are you bad habits you try to break away from?
not looking down at the timer...
I have a solution to that habit go to qqtimer and click the show timer options button then click turn timer updating till you see the word on. Now every time you look at your time it will just say running. After awhile your brain will remember that there is no time and you will not look at your times.
EDIT: Unless you really want to break this habit use this solution i tried it and got annoyed after like the third solve

* Inserting line edges the wrong way round after EO, and not noticing until the LL :o
* Using AUFs for PLL recognition
* Looking at the B and D faces during F2L - took a while, but managed to shake that one off eventually!

Always having my logo facing a certain way. If it's not, I make it.

...

That has ruined my life. I always need the logo pointed to green. The first thing I do when I get a V-CUBE out of the box is rotate the V from red to green. I don't know why.

Also, making sure that all of the threads on the home page for speedsolving have been visited so none are bold. This is a TERRIBLE habit.
hey look! oh noes it's not pointing to the green side or the green orange edge! must do RUR'URU2R'U'R'U'RU'R'U2RURU'RURURU'R'U'R2! I GOT THE SAME HABIT

i also look at the timer in EVERY step, especially at the end of f2l
doing an overdose amount of cube rotations in f2l
i used to care about the icon pointing to the green center in center building (i kept having to do L moves unnecessarily)

- not looking ahead
- not optimising the cross
- rotating the cube too much
- not thinking about AUF enough

I can't stop cubing until I end on a good average. On bad days this can be horrible and take 2+ hours. Then when I get a good average I think I've finally figured out what I'm doing wrong so I do another average and the cycle repeats...
