How do you remember?

I section them out into chunks initially. like the superman, I wouldn't look at it like R, U, R', U', R, U', R', U2, R, U', R', U2, R, U, R' instead, I would look at it like (R,U,R',U') (R,U',R',U2)x2 (R,U,R')

thats just to initially memo it so that I can practice it until it becomes muscle memory. this should not take long

yeah, just break it on groups and memorize what the cube looks like after each group, so yo know you are executing it correctly.

^I listen to this song and it triggers my memory of the alg.
:D

Anyhow, try to look for repeats in the alg/similarities to algs you already know/triggers to remember algs.

1. Write it down
2. Mail it to me enclosed with 15 dollars worth of small change.
3. Ill email you a copy of your alg, with the rest of your instructions
4. Repeat step 1 and 2 as many times as you need until the alg is burned into your retina.

This method is proven and tested thoroughly. ALL top cubers use it to memo algs.
Even Erik used this system when learning full OLL.

I'm pretty sure he was looking for serious answers.

I try to break it into groups, don't make to many groups though because it's hard to make them seamless.

Your just jealous I created a new memo method.
Im currently working on a modification for BLD.
jk lol

Just brute force it. Repeat the alg until its hammered into muscle memory. If need be, remember it letter by letter (or number by number).

I look at the notation and go through them VERY VERY slowly, watching pieces, twice maybe three times MAX and try to memorize the "feel of the algorithm."

I can't even tell you what i use for specific cases, its second nature at this point.

That is identical to what I do. Also, I watch the algorithms so that the movements begin to make sense.

I kind of do a combined thing of all things said here. I definitely look for triggers first in every alg I look at. It's much easier to find triggers and do them (sort of like the T shape OLL that's RUR'U' R'FRF' triggers). Once I find all the triggers and they aren't convenient enough to make it easy enough, I look for similar sequences and group it. After I do that I pretty much brute force it. Some of them take awhile, some don't. I wish I had a training buddy so I wouldn't have to do algs in reverse :P

Naw, it only takes around 40-ish pieces of paper for ZBLL.
My notes only take around 30-40 sheets.
Half that if you write on both sides neatly.

ZBF2L would take around that.

So a small booklet.
