Hey all, I have a question to ask you.
I've looked in a few places, and I can't really find a good edge switcher parity algorithm for http://alg.garron.us/?alg=B_U_R-_U-...U2_r-_U2_l2_U_R_U-_B-&cube=5x5x5&notation=WCA.

Is there any place I can find a such algorithm?

Sorry if I'm being a lolnoob, but I just had to ask.
I tried the search function.

Hold in FDr and UBr, setup with D' L' F and do the UFr-UBr swap, undo setup. Also useful for BLD (using r2).

Thanks.

What I specifically wanted is an algorithm that will swap those two wings, but I like your setup bettar than mine.

Yeah, that's what I use. I believe Lucas once found an alg for that, it was pretty nice. I can't find it though...

2-cycle (UFr<->UBr)

l'U2l'U2xU2l'U2rx'U2r'U2l2 - Lucas Garron

Notation is NOT SiGN

I see what you mean, but that's not what I'm looking for. To tell you the truth, I already know this alg XD.
I'm looking for a parity algorithm that will swap two diagonally without using this algorithm and/or setup moves.
Thanks, though.

First off, that's not what he wanted. Second, that alg did not come from Lucas. This is the alg that Lucas came up with for r2 parity:

r' U2 r2 U2 r U2 r U2 r2 l U2 r' U2 r U2 l' U2

First off, my bad - I was giving the other guy what HE wanted. Second, I have seen that alg (2-cycle (UFr<->UBr) l'U2l'U2xU2l'U2rx'U2r'U2l2) accredited to Lucas more than once. Maybe it was found way back in the 80's or something, and Lucas just gathered it in, becoming in time - the "source" of it. Anyway, I would like to know the real story. It is used a lot, and I am sure others would like to know where this came from too. Here is Grandmaster P, recently referring to it as "the regular alg" used in 4x4x4 BLD to shoot edge pieces:http://www.speedsolving.com/forum/showpost.php?p=304358&postcount=4
Please post any additional info you have regarding this important 2-cycle alg.

Concerning the other alg you gave, maybe it would have been useful to also put that in context, with a quote from his BLD r2 page -http://cube.garron.us/BLD/r2/index.htm "For wing parity, I use r' U2 r2 U2 r U2 r U2 r2 l U2 r' U2 r U2 l' U2. However, the following may be more intuitive/easier to remember: { (U2r)*5 U2 (Shoot UFr) (Shoot DBr) (Shoot UBr/r2) }. Both of these algs exchange the left and right columns of centers between them (respectively, UFl to UFb and UFr to UFb), so don't do this until centers are done, and be careful on supercubes. For a super-4x4x4, (RUR'U)*5 resolves centers, but I'll leave for you to figure out how to resolve supercube T-Center and Wing parity together..."

The standard 2 cycle has been everywhere. I know it's been on bigcubes.com since its inception, and without looking for it, I bet you its on the yahoo message board from earlier than 2004 (before lucas was even cubing). I don't know where it has ever been accredited to lucas. ever.

r' U2 r2 U2 r U2 r U2 r2 l U2 r' U2 r U2 l' U2
Succinct and accurate. Thanks, Dan.

cmowla did on his list of cases, and I believe that's due to rachmaninovian's sandwich page.
I definitely didn't come up with it. Could have (and would have), but it was already around before my time. See this.
By the way, I do it as 2L' U2 2L' U2 m' U2 2L' U2 2L U2 2R' U2 2L2 these days.

By the way, I do the r2 l in the r2 parity as (m 2R'), which is more like (3r' r' R2).
