4x4 and 5x5 edge parity? // I need to know how to fix it.

Is it OLL edge parity? If so, this is the alg I use:
Rw U2 x Rw U2 Rw U2 Rw' U2 Lw U2 Rw' U2 Rw U2 Rw' U2 Rw'

On 5x5, it depends which edges are flipped, if the middle 3 are the same and the outside two are different, it's this algorithm, but if they are all right except 1 edge piece in the middle, then move 3 layers for all of the wide moves.

I don't know a way to solve it in the position it's in (without ruining the 3x3 stage), but that can be easily fixed in edge pairing. I don't have time to explain it now, but this should help. If it doesn't make sense, I can explain it better later.

There are algs for these cases, but this isn't what you do.
These get fixed during edge pairing(except you do an LBL solve for fun)

Yeah, that's not parity, you just aren't getting the last two edges right. Here's the alg for that:

u' R U R' U' y L' U L u

The edges have to be aligned in accordance to their color, for example:

Red Red
Blue Blue
