What finger should I use in fingertricks?

As the title says.

U, U' - Both Pointer Fingers
R, R' - Right Hand
L, L' - Left Hand
F, F' - Both Pointer Fingers

I think those are good for me. The problem is D, D', B and B'... When I do D or D' I use my right hand. Can't use my fingers  Then when I do B or B' I have to flip the cube then use my hand. It really slows me down. What fingers should I use for these?

Oh, and for my M, I cant use my middle finger to turn it. Probably because of my cube. So I just do (r R'). That slows you down when you do M2 a lot...

D and D' - Both ring fingers
B and B' - Slight angle, but still both ring fingers.

+1 for the D and D' part.

But I don't agree with the B and B's.
I personally use my left index finger,
because the only alg. I use that has a B move
already has me in the position to do the B move with my left index finger.

So, yeah.

I use:

U: Right Index
U': Left Index
R and R': Right hand
L and L': Left Hand
F: Right Index
F': Right Thumb for fingertricks and Left Index for regular.
D: Left Ring
D': Right Ring
B: Right Index
B': Left Index

I use:

U: Right Index
U': Left Index
R and R': Right hand
L and L': Left Hand
F: Right Index
F': Right Thumb for fingertricks and Left Index for regular.
D: Left Ring
D': Right Ring
B: Right Index
B': Left Index

Wait... so if you use both Indexes to do B and B', then you have to turn your cube or something right? Because if its in the back how do you use your index fingers?

Gotta work on that...

I don't know how other people do it, but I don't really use B or B' in my speedsolves. I only do them in scrambles.

oh ok..

Example T-perm: R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U' R U R' F'

Red is right hand, Lime is left hand.

I do the last with my right thumb. Fingertricks depend on the situation / hands position / algorithm.

Tried the algorithm. Used my left hand on the last one. Never tried using my thumb. It feels weird xD

Hand for R/R' and L/L', index for U/U' and F/F' (sometimes thumb for F' depending on the algorithm) and ring for D/D' and B/B'.

Ring for B/B'? How's that possible O_O. Do you rotate the cube?

Not really. When I use B/B' (rarely) it's usually after a R' move so it's pretty easy to reach it with ring... I can only do B2 accurately with my left ring + middle finger though.

Oh... Riiiight, the algorithm I use with B also comes after R'... gotta practice that :P

U I use my right index finger and my left thumb
U' I use my left index finger and my right thumb
U2 I use my right then my right middle finger at the same time
U'2 I use my left index finger to do a U' then I'll use my right thumb after finish the U'2

F I use my right index finger or my left thumb
F' I use my left index finger or my right thumb
F2 I do (F F) or I use my right index and right middle finger at the same time
F'2 I do (F' F') or I use my left index and left middle finger at the same tiem

R I just turn it
R' I just turn it
R2 I just turn it
R'2 I just turn it

L I just turn it
L' I just turn it
L2 I just turn it
L'2 I just turn it

D I use my left ring finger
D' I use my right ring finger
D2 I just turn it
D'2 I just turn it

B If the previous move was R I'll use my right index finger(you do these with a very small x' rotation, but its not completely rotated), if the previous move was R' I'll use my right ring finger
B' if the previous move was L I'll use my left ring finger, if the previous move was L' Ill use my left ring finger
B2, If previous move was R, I'll use my right index finger
B'2, If previous move was L, I'll use left index finger

Can't really answer since finger tricks is not 1 turn but a series of turns. Fingers and positioning for U is different in different situations. You don't just learn how to do 1 turn, you learn how to do a series of turns.
