hi, this is probably my third thread about uses of the fridge :D
i find this method pretty effective, because most of the the glue came off with the stickers (c4u) and the leftover goos are very easy to remove - you could easily rub it off with your finger.

did anyone try this before?

Hi Daniel,

I fixed the typo in your thread title:

"putting the cube into the frodge before removing stickers?"

Happy cubing,
Chris
thx

@ minigoings:
it's too cold where you live...lol

Nail polish remover and a rag FTW

Using the fridge would probably work, but I'm afraid of making my plastic brittle by freezing it. (Paranoia. Probably wont actually happen). Plus, It makes my cube feel weird, like it did something to the lube. Though I have tried it, I don't wanna try it again.

you don't need to freeze it, you know..

i said put it in the fridge, not the freezer

I just take mine outside. Then it cracks though...

+1. I could use a visit to canada, It ranges from 30 to 40 degrees(Celsius) at the moment.

Thank you for the useful(useless?) information, I might try it with the cube I'm about to re-sticker.

EDIT: About 50 posts while I post? New record. /exaggeration

Oh! Another thing, rubbing alcohol works too. Maybe both would be good...I guess it's kind of the same as nail polish remover though.

I don't doubt it. 5 Seconds over there would be enough, I think. Then I'd click my heels together three times and say 'There's no place like home.'

@Below. I know. That's the reason I didn't doubt it, I saw the forecasts on another thread, where you Canadians were all bragging about how cold it was.

I will try this. I usually just use Goo Gone, but inevitably it forces me to clean and relubricate the cube. And while I personally believe they aren't dangerous persay to a cube, Goo Gone does contain petroleum distillates.

In Calgary it was -34 Celsius this morning. On topic I will definatly try this before I resticker next time
