Hello world. Apologies if this has been posted before, I did some hunting and didn't find much.

I recently got my Revenge and have successfully solved a few times (solving like a 3x3x3), but occasionally I encounter a parity error right before the final step (R' D' R D). The error creates two corners in the correct spot, and two corners in the incorrect spot. Unfortunately, I only know algorithms to shuffle the corners in a circular motion, always leaving two corners incorrect. So from the top the cube looks like this (with C denoting correct placement and X for incorrect):

C-C-C-C
C-C-C-C
C-C-C-C
X-C-C-X
or
X-C-C-C
C-C-C-C
C-C-C-C
C-C-C-X

Any help is very appreciated, I found a few different people saying to use the same algorithm on youtube, which didn't work every time.

Unfortunately the method you use throws up this "parity".

For the

C-C-C-C
C-C-C-C
C-C-C-C
X-C-C-X

r2 U2 r2 Uw2 r2 Uw2 U2 y' [R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U' R U R' F']<-- (T perm)

I won't do the other case because I use a really weird N perm.

That's even longer than the other parity algorithm :p Thanks I'll try that now and edit this post with the answer to avoid a bump...

Actually I have some notation questions for you... does "w" mean both the outer and inner layer? And I'm completely puzzled as to "y"

Yes

And I'm completely puzzled as to "y"

"y" is a cube rotation, it's like a U move but the whole cube. (i.e. if you start with white on top and green on front on a normal colour scheme, after a y, white will still be on top but red will be on front)

R' U' R U' R' U2 R z U R U' R U R2 U' z' <----to rotate the corners.

Just hold the cube with the 2 corners that you will rotate to the left

z=its like rotating F but you will rotate the whole cube instead of just the U face
