Happy Turkey Day!

Happy thanksgiving!

I have a question: Is thanksgiving considered a religious holiday? I know many churches have thanksgiving services, but it is on the day of a historical event. Anyone want to clear things up?

It isn't religious at all, but the thought behind it (being thankful and stuff) makes it a nice target for religious service.

I agree. It's not a religious holiday, but it has some tenets that many religious groups like. I think most people regardless of their religion or lack thereof would agree that giving thanks for the things they have and being cognizant of how lucky many of us are is a good thing.

And, of course, I'd like to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all enjoy your food, family, and football while remembering what the holiday is all about!
