Pyraminx LBL Method Improvements?

So I've been practicing quite a bit of pyraminx recently and I finally got sub-6 avg of 5 today :)

Here are just some thoughts of improving the LBL method:
- X-cross (this is quite easy to do/intuitive)
- forcing a LL skip by inserting the edges in different ways (kind of like partial edge control on 3x3)

Also I'm trying to be colour neutral and I do cross on left while doing the first layer, not sure if this helps. And I was wondering if there are algs for the first layer edges like F2L algs because sometimes I will encounter cases which will take a lot of moves to solve, such as flip 1 edge and swap 2...

Also I saw from somewhere that ortega method could be adapted for the pyraminx, would that be better than the LBL method? and if I want to improve, do I need to learn more advanced methods like Oka or the Polish V method?

Sorry for slight bump, but I thought I had made this method myself. I have made most of the algorithms, and they are very short, but I can't find a good recognition method. Rather than start a new thread, I wanted to know what suggestions people have for me. I consider this will be a very fast method. Most can be done intuitively, however, algs like this are not intuitive, but optimal. U' L' B L R L B' R L'.

Tell me any suggestions on working out a recognition method.

When I first found the Oka method (it was from some Geocities website, and it wasn't called Oka) I constructed the "block" on the top-left, but the people in the tutorials I watched had the block on the bottom left. Isn't is awkward to spin U and u when orienting the centers if you hold it like this?

lolwut?

Any pretty good Pyraminx solver who uses LBL has most likely noticed that you can force LL skips by inserting the final edge differently. I don't really practice Pyraminx so I've been too lazy to use anything other than LBL. I'm not great (like 8-9 average), but I've always forced LL skips when the cases are easy to recognize.

I just learned the oka method which is used by the WR holder Yohei Oka

It's pretty easy but takes a while to get used to, I'm barely averaging sub-10 with it.

It's correct that he uses it... but he uses it as mush as I do... which means in like 2/7 solves or something like that...

He doesn't build a block... he builds a failed block then bad centers...... then he solves the top by using something as simple as R U R' (you get it... 3 moves and top is solved...)... the rest you already know =)
