just got a 5x5x5 for Christmas...

how should i lubricate it? like the 3x3x3 with the silicone spray by disassembling/reassembling?

What brand? Rubiks tend ti be real stiff until you play with them a lot. Yes, lube simply by popping out an edge, then spray, put the edge back in and solve. It takes a lot of work to get a Rubiks 5x5 in shape. Eastsheens tend to come pretty loose. Can't speak for others since I haven't tried. Have fun.

I'd advise against lubricating it - at least until after you've broken it in for a bit. Rubik's 5x5x5's have a tendency to get too loose, and once they do there really isn't a way to tighten them back up.

I got a 4x4...today

and i was solving then POP a center piece popped out and broke -_-(FIRST 5 minutes when i got it)

i bought a new one...
