I can't decide what to do. I want to buy a set of white eastsheen's (2,4,5) with a big cube4you order I am doing with a bunch of friends. But I decided to buy it of Husky Omega instead because it was cheaper and only $1.50 shipping. BUT I heard that the Cloned Mefferts cubes from C4Y are much much better and the same size as a Rubik's brand 4x4 and 5x5. But the main problems are, I only have the money for one or the other (ES VS CM) and I dont know if I will like the mefferts considering it is much bigger. I have to hide my cubes in my big zipper binder because some teachers take cubes away if they see them, mainly because of my friends and I, playing with them all the time. I borrowed a Rubik's 5 and it barely fit inside my binder. ES's are just a little bigger than a normal 3x3, so I know they will be a perfect fit.

I desire the ES for their portability and the Cloned Meffert's for its quality.

Another thing to think about is I will be ordering from C4U VERY RARELY because of shipping costs. And if I go with the C4U 4x4 and 5x5, I wont have a 2x2 till I get enough money for the white ES set.

Please post whatever comes through your mind.
Recommendations, advice, etc...

Easy solution: get more money. lql
You don't exactly need a 2x2. You can use the corners of a 3x3 or a 4x4. I would get cloned mefferts just because its tiled and looks cooler than an eastsheen. Size isn't a concern for me. Idk. Once again: easy solution: get more money.

first choice, i have 4x4 and 2x2 right now and its like an eighth of an inch bigger than rubiks brand, not only that its a very good cube. they are cheaper and easier to bring around since they are smaller. spray some silicone in it and it will be very smooth and easy to turn.

Instead of a knockoff 5x5, get a v-cube 5, It is more expensive, but satisfies your need for portability and is the best 5x5 cube out there (anyone with a broken in v-5 will testify for this). It is definitely worth the cost, and I heard ES 5x5's don't last that long.

I would very much like to purchase a V-Cube Set in fact, but more than $30 per cube is alittle much for me. Ill buy them later once I have a job. So this topic is mainly about my decision for this single order. Please vote on the poll if you havent yet.

With this order I am also getting:

1 Diansheng
2 Mini Diansheng
C4Y White Diy
Megaminx (Actually does anyone know how good the C4Y PVC Megaminx is?)

All I need to choose is which set of 4x4 and 5x5 to get, and 2x2 if I go with Eastsheen.

For 5x5x5, v cube without any hesitation.

For 4x4x4, c4y and mefferts's one are the best. Some like eastsheen one, he turn easierly (does this word exists ?) but is less tolerant. It will lock up unless you align layers very precisely. He is also smaller.

2x2: Eastsheen
4x4: Eastsheen
5x5: V-Cube

I haven't owned any of these but the overwhelming number of opinions I've read tell me these are the best.

Where did you hear that ES 4x4's are the best? Had to be 6 months or older, because both the C4Y 4x4's and Mefferts 4x4's are better.

I disagree.

you cant say anything if youve never ever touched or turned one, i myself havnt and i still say there better than eastsheen

I've touched and turned both. Meffert's blows Eastsheen away. Don't get an Eastsheen, get either the Meffert's or the C4Y Meffert's Clone.

I have touched, turned, and even SOLVED both a Mefferts and a Eastsheen, although I only own an Eastsheen. My opinion is still the same.
