Hi everyone,

I have updated my web-based Rubik's Cube solving & training tools with several new scramblers for advanced inspection planning.

Each tool generates scrambles calibrated to a user-specified move count, with guaranteed minimal move verification via IDA* to ensure no shorter solutions exist for the target state. Everything runs client-side in the browser using C++ compiled to WebAssembly (WASM).

Here are the newly added trainers:

1. F2LEO Series
Solves the Cross and specified slot(s) while ensuring the remaining unsolved F2L slot edges have their Edge Orientation (EO) solved (Last Layer edge orientations are ignored).

F2LEO Cross Trainer: Cross + 4 F2L slot edges oriented.
F2LEO XCross Trainer: Cross + 1 slot + 3 remaining F2L slot edges oriented.
F2LEO XXCross Trainer: Cross + 2 slots + 2 remaining F2L slot edges oriented.

2. Full EO Series
Solves full 12-edge EO alongside the cross and specified slot(s).

XEOCross Trainer: Full EO + Cross + 1 slot.
XXEOCross Trainer: Full EO + Cross + 2 slots.

3. Deep Target Planning

XXXCross Trainer: Cross + 3 slots.

Features & Implementation

Exact Move Count Guarantee: Scrambles are built via precomputed pruning tables and validated by a bidirectional minimal move solver to avoid shortcut states.
Built-in Interactive Solver: Each page includes an advanced solver with TwistyPlayer visual previews to check or compare solutions.
Fully Client-Side: No backend server required; runs entirely locally in your browser.

This is awesome. Great work and fantastic site. Will you be expanding to other methods as well? I would like to see some trainers for Petrus and Roux. Please consider adding them. I think it will really increase the reach of your site.

Thanks for the kind words and the suggestion!

I’ve thought about adding Roux and Petrus as well. That said, tools like onionhoney’s Roux Trainer and cubegrass’s Block Trainer already do a great job. They both can generate multiple solutions with a guaranteed optimal move count.

For my project, the main benefit would be integrating them with TwistyPlayer’s 3D view and adapting the Main Workbench for block-building workflows. That would be a fairly substantial project, though, so it’s probably not a priority for me right now.

I might revisit it at some point. Thanks again for the suggestion!
