Hi everyone! I know I haven't been on the Forums that often, mostly because I do other stuff other than cubing. anyway, my main event is Pyra and I currently average around sub-3 so around High 2 to maybe sometimes low 3 if the scrams are REALLY bad.
I'll try to post my results and maybe do a daily ao5 while it's still the summer.
I currently main the YLM Pyra. For me, I really like this over the Weilong.
My results can be a little inconsistent sometimes so just bear that in mind.
My end goal is to try to get as good as I can get. However, I'm sticking to like around a sub-2/beyond average because I think it's possible
Right now, my idea to approach this is to start learning some Blockbuilding strats and trying to be as efficient as possible
At the same time, I'll be training L4e and recognition.
Hopefully with that and a million dozen solves I can reach sub-2.5. at this level I think I have decent enough fingertricks so it shouldn't be a problem.

Yoo the comeback, glad yo see you back
And gl with your goals, we average like the same, you on pyra and me on skewb lol

K so some quick updates. I think I'm getting a little bit more consistent with being Sub-3. I now get some good sub-2.5's here and there and I would say maybe like 30-35% are like sub-2.5. I think it's because usually I have consistent turning and I think that's mostly because the little magic is very controllable. My V solutions are getting better as well.
If I have time today, I might be able to post some good solves on my Youtube channel. I think I'm getting some good times as long as I don't lock up.
I think maybe a subgoal for myself is maybe like getting probably a good ranking in my state like around 3rd (I live in NJ). I rank 12th rn 😭 just bc I haven't gone to many comps. Also I kinda failed getting into 2nd round in NAC cuz I like locked up so hard on my weilong lol. I'll send pictures of some good ao5's I got and current state rankings for average as well.

ok great news guys!
I'm going to a comp pretty soon called Liberty Science Center Fall B 2026
I think I might have a chance at podium but all the good pyraminxers are there as well (lol)
That includes Clem, Eli (aka discomantis on speedsolving) and Yuki who all have sub-2 averages 😭
Hopefully I can become sub-2.5 and maybe have a chance at podiuming in pyraminx for the FIRST time.
and also get a sub-3 average....
(EDIT: oh shoot parker trager is coming maybe no podium??? I need some really fast turning to beat him or anyone good at this comp)
