Jared Burkhart's Big Cube Walkthroughs!🙂

you should make a big cube walkthrough thread instead of making different threads for different big cubes
I reported it, but nothing happened yet.
I guess I continue my rant about 5x5?
Solving Your Second Center
So you know how I solve my first center. The second one is just a tad bit harder.
So your moves are a bit more restricted with the preservation of your first one, but the principles are just the same. I still prefer block building ad it is essentially solving a 2x3 strip in a structured fashion. Just use the algorithm Rw U Rw' and for inserting the 3x1 bar you use the algorithm Rw U2 Rw'.
I am not sure, but I would like to think move count and look ahead is enhanced and improved by using this approach. What do you guys think? And if possible, if this really belongs in my 7x7 walkthroughs, then please report this thread to the moderators. They are reasonable and will have a decent answer on what should be done here.😊

Give Hoya method a shot, if you improve a lot in the initial stages, then you can continue with it.

Yau is always proven to be the best.
I tried Hoya in 4 and am horrible at it😆
I will try again but I have way more skill in Yau than Hoya.
Any advice? I am always happy to take advice!😁

@abunickabhi I tried Hoya on 4x4 and got sub 2 first try
I might try 5 tomorrow
But as for now I will keep ranting on about how to solve 5x5 and how I solve it.
Solving 3 edges
So my Yau is weird and a bit inefficient. Instead of solving 3 cross edges I solve just 3 random edges.
I go for ones that are almost built or halfway built. This is faster than finding and tracking specific cross edges.
It is slower during the transition to the 3x3 stage. It requires more look ahead.
But the concept is still the same for centers afterwards. All you have to do is learn how to shift your left hand for transitioning from outer layer moves to inner layer chunks. Once you are good at this, your Yau times will significantly improve!
