Hey guys, i made a tutorial of the roux method if anyone wants to check it out. I'm not the fastest in the world at it but i can avg 21sec or so. It covers an entire solve and goes into semi detail at each step, but depending what you guys think i may make in depth videos of each step. I dunno, please let me know what you think

lol, woops, forgot to give the video link..

Yea, I would love to see the tutorial. I would also be very interested in the in-depth videos if you get around to making them.

The only thing I don't really get is the orientation of edges. I always have to use an alg which flips two edges at a time, instead of doing it all at once.

I also think this tutorial is well done :
- it explains the differents steps that you have to complete
- it covers various cases, especially for the last edge permutations

The few things I would improve are :
- the explaination of the corners orientation and permutation (you could have given a 2 or 3 step method to complete that step)
- for the 1x2x3 blocks, it should have been made clearer that it requires practice because there is an infinite number of case
- just explaining how you can solve the 2nd 1X2X3 block without destroying the first one (more explainations on the effect of the r move for example)

Anyway, it was a good one :-)
Congratulations

Gilles

Ok, i have that first tutorial which can serve as an overview of the whole method. I added videos for each step that went into quite a bit of depth. I know they're not perfect, so if you have any questions be sure to let me know.

dude, it's an 18 year old post... lots of Roux resources out there nowadays on Google XD

Here's former OH WR holder Kian Mansour's video tutorials for Roux, that's where I learned, and he has other videos as well for intermediate and advanced Roux solvers

Enjoy!! oh, umm ... sometimes YT lets me see stuff if I open the link(s) in a Provate browser window fwiw

and WITHOUT YT, here's the link to his Google docs website, including algs etc
