I often overshoot or undershoot and this leads to lock ups (together with the fact that my cube is the worst tensioned cube ever atm).
Anyone got any tips on how to improve

basically a Rubik's brand /jtry practicing on a cube with 0 cornercutting, it will make you develop more percise turns
no not really bc rubiks brand will make your fingers turn stronger causing you to overshoot. Pretty much just any 3 dollar cheap plastic cube from a dollar store worksbasically a Rubik's brand /j
Well my cube is tensioned like, really badly, already so that must be a good thing in this context. The only cube I had for a while was the QiYi Warrior S, which is a non-magnetic cube with very low corner cutting. I used this cube until I got my first magnetic cube when my average was sub-40, which I'm pretty sure is why my turning style is very accurate. If you train your turning style on a bad cube such as that one, I would imagine it would become very accurate.
Not necessarily. Bad tensions have a very small impact compared to not having magnets or good corner cutting.Well my cube is tensioned like, really badly, already so that must be a good thing in this context.
I'm gonna try and tension it properly though.
Well, it's tensioned so bad it doesn't corner cut properlyNot necessarily. Bad tensions have a very small impact compared to not having magnets or good corner cutting.
you can also do the reverse, which is loosening it to the point where you cant control itIf you tension all the sides so corner cutting is bad, that will work
