4x4 Best Method

Hello everyone, how do I learn how to solve the 4x4, but not the beginner's method? I want to learn it so I can get myself a megaminx, and I am using a NexCube 4x4 rn. I wanna learn something like Yau or Hoya, but anything is fine. JPerm's tutorial isn't clicking for me, is there anyone who could help?

I feel for 4x4, look into direct solving. I'm fastest with K4, but using something like Meyer could potentially help. (Meyer plus FD AND BD edges means double x-cross instead of just cross like in Yau)

Just use JPerm's tutorial I guess. It is made for people starting out on 4x4 and teaches Yau. The advantage of learning Yau from the beginning means you won't have to switch to it eventually (as it's probably the best method for 4x4) because you already know it!

insane how you were waiting for me to reply, but to keep on topic ig hoya is the best method imo, but i honestly think that itll be beaten soon, as much as i dont want to say it. (i quite like @Caleb Valenzuela s method that i forgot the name of but it was like Calebs Optimised Block or something)

Yau is the best because it’s the easiest to get in to after reduction and also it’s more efficient

Guys let's be real here, Yau is the best method for 4x4. Other methods are cool and fun and Hoya is pretty good but Yau is just the best. Like 97 out of the top 100 solvers use Yau, it's not really a hard decision.
