No.
The centers do not need to be oriented at all, inside or outside of weekly comp. And you should even be able to tell of the center is misoriented.

It's not mentioned in the rules so I assume that means anything goes. I have mirror blocks with a brushed texture that has a direction just like you do, and I've always made sure to keep the centers correctly oriented as I solve, but I guess not all mirror blocks manufacturers use this texture.
