Looking for the best cube for me...

I am currently using a regular 3x3x3 rubik's cube store bought and I want to get 2 new different cubes for speed cubing. I have been messing with the rubik's cube for about a month and can get sub 80 often if not always. Looking for a good 3x3x3 cube. What cube do you like from personal experience and think would be good for me.

Currently I am looking at a black DIY cube a but I am open to suggestions and look forward into hearing responses.

It doesn't matter what cube you get, it will feel great compared to your storebought I bet. But maybe you should wait to get a diy, because I am sure many people after me will be saying, "Wait until your times are lower to get a new cube. The cube doesn't help your times very much."

Even if that may be true, using a high-quality cube is much nicer than a storebought. I strongly recommend the DIYs from the Rubik's website, or the C4Y cube available here. Both are much smoother and better than a storebought.

Usually they come with stickers if they are un-assembled I think. Not stickers already one the cubies.

true, but the feel of the cube is what I look for. I never expect my times to drop significantly from changing cubes (if they're both decent) but some cubes just feel better.

I think getting your own diy cube early is better overall. You can get the tension and everything to how you want it and practice fingertricks early on. If you just stick to bad cubes too long, I think it might be harder to change the way you use your fingers and everything. Maybe not....I suck so I don't know anything.

But thats just me because my storebought was really crappy, if your storebought is good enough i dont think it should really matter.
