Question about backpacks at competitions

[Im_Just_Juni]

I'm going to my first competition in a few weeks, and I plan to bring a backpack to hold my cubes, but I'm unsure of what to do with it while competing in an event. What's common practice for placing down your bag while you compete in an event? sorry if this is worded weirdly, I'm not the best at making forum posts like this

I think it’s ok to bring it with you while competing but most people just leave it at their seat.

My friends and I will just leave ours at whatever table we're sitting at on the day.

In general, people leave their backpacks at their seats because there's usually somebody still at their table. Quite often, though, people bring their backpack to the station with them.

The cubing community are really nice people so when me my dad and my friends go to get lunch we just leave our stuff on the table and come back to nothing even being touched

i lost my 2x2

exactly why i don't leave my stuff at my seat because i don't want my cubes to be stolen
