WCA records page uses the first day of comp. For multi day comps, this can cause inaccuracy on days later into the comp.

Want to test it more? Check the wca records page for Tommy’s 3.50 clock average from US Nats 2023, and then check on speedsolving forums or maybe the comp stream to see when people actually started talking about it. The WR happened in clock finals, so last day of a 4 day comp iirc.

Edit: the record happened on the second day of the comp, but my point should still stand. The day the wca records page gives you, and the day that people started talking about the record would be different days
