Max Park is now sponsored by SCS and not The Cubicle...

[NebraskanSpeedsolver]

While watching the livestream for Western Champs, you will see that Max Park has a SpeedCubeShop logo on his shirt, and in the chat of the livestream SCS says that they are now sponsoring him.

Interesting, do you know why?

???????

I don't know why. The topic came up in the big cubers Discord and decided to relay the message.

What about the max lubes tho?

I'm assuming that they will discontinue them under the "MAX" name and rebrand them, same with the premium cubes.

[UncleFrank]

Surprised they changed. He'd been sponsored by Cubicle for years.

Business decision by his parents? SCS made a better offer? A falling out with Cubicle?

Gratz to Max on the WRs.
Gratz to @camcuber for signing him.

That's pretty interesting. I really curious why.

cubicle max will become cubicle large

[TheSpeedSkewber]

cubicle max will become cubicle large

cubicle obese and cubicle malnourished

max lineup --> min lineup

[....]

heard somewhere that thecubicle had some budget cuts with their non social media sponsorees, makes sense since they once sponsored a bunch of people and then stopped. scs also makes more money than the thecubicle i think since it's geared more towards beginner cubers.

i really don't want the max lubes to go away, they're absolutely goated

[FenTheGoat]

Maybe They’ll change all Max branded things to Maximum (I’m only half joking)

I'm sure they'll change the name of the services/lubes so people can still get them.

Nice, I think SCS is a great speedcubing company for Max to get sponsored by!

Congrats to Max, and SCS!

[qwr]

Max is from California right? SCS is much more local in Nevada (previously California)

[AhsanDaCuber125]

SCS better start selling Max Park signature cubes.

Yes, he lives in/near Los Angeles.

most likely scs with a better offer
and cubicle prob thinks the contract would be too much money for them and not worth it.
who knows, all speculation.

I noticed this too... so it wasn't just because the comp was sponsored by SCS (so t-shirt specific for comp?)
