Would love to see you stream FMC attempts. Nice work on the PB's!

UPDATE:

I forgot to mention that I am raising money for Palestinian Medical Aid. My goal is to reach $1000 by the end of the year (big ask I know but we can do it). All twitch subs I will be matching (also there is a discount on subs currently). Any and all help is appreciated <3

I KNOW WE CAN DO IT <3
Live now if you want to donate :)

BIG UPDATE:

Sadly, two weeks ago, I broke my leg and tore some ligaments in my ankle - on my birthday no less! Because of this I haven't been make progress on my new yearly goals :( I also had surgery this Wednesday. Oh, as some of you may know, I went to my first offical WCA comp and was unable to compete in. I'm writing up an appeal to the regulation committee. Will have some more updates in the next few weeks (working on a video to cover this).

However, there is a silver lining! For the next 6-8 weeks I'll be able to stream full time (somewhere between 4-6 hours daily). This means I'll have LOTS of time for Method Development and FMC.

Method Dev =>
Main goal is to finally finish development on SSRC - a method I proposed ~4 years ago ( God I'm getting old ). I just finished up genningalgs for EODR, CxLL, and FR Pair. After 4 years I've finally be able to flesh out the ideas that I came up with so long ago - mainly EODR an its application for option selecting and edge influence (Something I've only recently developing in the last 3-4 months).

Prelim stats:
FB: 7
Pairs: 10.3
CxLL: 10.59
L7E: 16.5
Total: 44.39

This number will be subject to change however I believe the final number will be somewhere around mid to high 43s. I have a lot of hope for this method - <RUMS> has been proven to be very good - depending how much credience you put into EPLL fastest exicution. I feel that EODR being algorithmic will assist with this. Another big benefit to this method is that you can option select between EODR => L6EP, DR => EOLR => PMS, and L7EO => LRP => PMS.

Algs:
CxLL: 42
EO: 23
EODR: 135
LRP: 60
EOLR: 62
Total: 322

The algcount can decrease as many of the algs are semi-intuitve (something that I really like). Hopefully some good Roux solvers willl give this method a try :) I am 100% going to learn my method, very excited!!!

FMC:
Currently working on CP first, premoves, NISS/rNISS. In around 6 months I plan to start learning DR/HTR - luckily my SSC experience will help with DR.. HTR will be another beast (hopeing CP-first will give me a bit of a head start). Goal is to reach Top 100 in the wolrd - Sub-26 Mo3 and like a Sub-30 Ao100.

PBs:
Single: 29
Mo3: 31.67
Ao5: 33

Pretty good for 2-3 months of practice.

That's it for now,
Cheers!

UPDATE: Finally some good news.

I've been recovering over the last few months after a surgery. The good news is that after some life changes I've decided to start streaming full time on Twitch.
I'll be streaming mostly cubing content with a focus on FMC, BLD, 3x3, 4x4, Squan. Looking to get Top 100 in FMC by the end of year so come check that out :)

Cheers!

UPDATE:

I've been slowly grinding out FMC over the last month or two. I thought it would be a fun idea to challenge myself to complete 1000 FMC solves over the next 1-2 years. I plan to write out all of the scrambles/solutions onto origami paper and fold said paper into origami cranes. It's said folding 1000 origami cranes will bring good luck.. or something. The general idea will be to do normal FMC attempts and then go back to any DNFs and 'rehab' them. These would be un-timed solves to improve previous attempts. Right now I have around a 50% success rate (not great, I know) so this will give me plenty of opportunities re-evaluate and improve past solve/ learn from my mistakes. I plan to create a doc outlinging all of my solves/solutions and will also include solution improvements via insertion finder. I'll keep track of things like success rate, ratio of optimal inserts, averages both with and without rehab soltions etc. It's going to be a pretty large undertaking but I'm really excited and hopeful. I'm at around 50ish attempts so far (~25 successes) and have just began to go back to rehab solves. I want work out a schedule at some point but, for now, I am just going to wing it. All of my PBs are the same as before - I've been runing into consistency issues which is the main reason I'm attempting this whole thing. That's kinda it. I want to become Top 100 in FMC and this is me putting in the time and effort to achieve that. I've been cubing for 15 years now and I've yet to meet most of my cubing goals. This is, maybe, this first time I'm that I am truly ready to put everything on the line and push myself to my absolute limits. This is also the first time I truly believe that I can succeed. Better said this may be the first time I am willing to suceed. I'll see you all at the top :)

Cheers !

That's 1,000 hours... That's quite literally, nearly 42 STRAIGHT DAYS... Good luck, I guess

If you want to get good at FMC you can't spend all your time doing attempts(1000 in 1-2 years is multiple attempts per day). You also have to learn new concepts and strategies.

That's what rehab is for. I know the majority of techniques (EO, Blockbuilding, Premoves, NISS, Corner Insertions) but just have struggled with implementation. NISS is far more time consuming than I'm used to, my insertions need a lot of improvement (with optimal inserts I would already be Sub-30), etc. For me, doing the attempts is part of learning new things. But, again, rehab will give me more time to experiment/learn. 1000 in 2 years is very doable. That's 10 solves a week which isn't really that bad.

Good luck to you too, i guess

If your goal is to actually be top100 world in FMC I would REALLY strongly recommend you learn DR->HTR->solved method. It is currently FAR superior to any other FMC method. I would say it is almost mandatory method to average sub-25. Of course you can get to top100 by not being sub-25 and getting a better than average mean in comp.

But getting to top100 will be insanely much harder without DR->HTR

It's on my list of things to learn. I already know EO and DR basics. HTR is still a mystery to me - there are a few text tutorials that I'm checking out. I still struggle with things like NISS and Insertions (I'm very far from optimal that is). My goal was to get a Sub-30 Mo3 and then start transitioning to DR. This will probably change depending on how I progress.
