I propose a standardized format for number of MBLD attempts at major championships.
Taking the examples of Worlds 2019 and Worlds 2023, there were only 2 attempts of MBLD. This is not an ideal way of assessing the winner considering what is at stakes for top competitors and how nervousness avalanches in an MBLD attempt.
Leaving aside the organizer’s take on the best time slots for MBLD, it should be made mandatory to have three attempts of MBLD (with no points cutoff) at major championships. If the organizer claim that the scrambling task for three attempt will take large bandwidth among volunteers, a solution would be to do MBLD before Day 1 of the Major Championships so that the entire staff and delegates can be assigned to completing MBLD attempts diligently.
