This may sound a bit dumb, but it's been bothering me for a while;

How exactly are certain pieces labeled?

I know "UFR" means the "upper-front-right corner", but will it mean the same thing if it was "URF"?

Is there one consistent way of reading the cube like this?

If you're referring to pieces it doesn't really matter as people will know what you're talking about most of the time.

In general though you will need to be more specific when describing sticker positions as UFR will not mean the same as FRU.

Could you show me a picture differentiating the two sticker positions?

Well the way it works notating stickers is the first letter tells you what face it is on, So U for example. the second tells you want side of that face it is on, so you have two options left, F for example. The third would show which of the two possible stickers it is, like R
In wca orientation, UFR is the white sticker on the white green red corner, but FRU is the same corner but the green sticker. Also worth noting FRU and FUR is the same sticker on the same corner

yeah UFR and URF are technically the same thing

but we usually use the one that goes counterclockwise (UBL, URB, UFR, ULF...DFL, DRF, DBR, DLB)

Oh I see.
So in that same orientation If I wanted a orange sticker, would it be UFL?
