you should definitely learn 3bld it is by far the most fun event

Going to a comp next Saturday. Competing in 3x3, 2x2 and 4x4. Hoping to get PB single in 2 and 3, and make cutoff for 4.

Got a PR single and average in 2x2. I got 19th but I was in group one, so I was actually in second for a little bit.

which 6×6 did you get?
I recently got the new Meilong v2 6M and it's pretty fast and nice for an $18 budget cube

on mine the outer layers would sometimes take an inner layer with them if I didn't have a finger under those inner layers

which is a drag and makes you waste time and focus on making up for that...*sigh*

but after I lubed it that calmed right down... the cube is fast so I added a couple drops in between each layer on a side
but only one corner, and then I did another side just the inner layers

I used Lubicle-1 bcoz it has Teflon particles in it which work for a long time to make turning smooth even after the rest of the lube sorta dries up

so far that seems to have done the trick, have been getting (mostly) sub-6min solves since then

I should mention, my 4x4 ao50 has dropped to 2:03.31. Getting closer!

just got 3x3 PB ao5 and ao12! 19.90 and 22.18 respectively, this is crazy.

I just got a 1:50.02 single on 4x4, but I got to 3x3 stage at 1:05, which is a really good pace. I might've been able to get PB or a good single, but I messed up the color scheme so blue center was next to green center. I swapped the wrong 2 centers so I wasted like 10 seconds cuz me a bingus

I want to get full PLL learned by the end of March. I already know 7 algs from miscellaneous 2-look PLLs. How should I go about learning the rest of the algs?
Also a competition on March 9th, Goals:
Sub 10 pyraminx avg
at least 1 sub 20 3x3 single
sub 50 squan single and make cutoff.
Sub 1:30 4x4 single.

Good luck at your comp! I’d definitely recommend learning the PLLs in groups. So learn both A Perms at the same time, same for J Perms and N Perms. And overall just go for it PLL isn’t that challenging as it seems at first.

I already know Aa perm, and just do it lefty for Ab perm. Same for J perm. For N perms I just do 2 Jperms. How would you recommend I learn the actual algs?

I do. I just take a while to get muscle memory down on some of the longer algs.
