Non-Cubers say the darndest things!

Not necessarily a non-cuber thing or a saying, but I find it immensely bewildering and a slight bit frustrating when a 9-year-old who just learned to solve a cube pretty much last week and barely averages under 4 minutes gets a super-expensive GAN cube from their parents. Maybe I innately hate spoiled people.

I was maining a sail w until I got sub 40

I was maining a Rubik's brand up until sub-50
Then I bought myself a Valk 3 Power M and got sub-40
I had used a Sail W until I was sub-1 minute, and someone gave me an MF3RS2 (not the one I use for OH, this MF3RS2 I bought from Cubezz while the first one I straight up lost), which got me past sub-45.

Then I quit cubing until I bought myself a ShengShou Mr. M. In 2022. Mistake? Yes.

Well, at least you "un-quit" lol

I was doing a round of 4x4 once and was warming up in the waiting area. Someone who worked at the venue (not a cuber) asked me, "Is 16 harder than 9?". Took me a second to realize what she meant.
16 is harder than 9
And yet my success rate at 16 cube BLD is better than my success rate at 9 cube BLD somehow

Maybe
Some non-cubers call 4x4 "16 cube" and 3x3 they call "9 cube" 💀
Don't forget "4 cube", "triangle cube", and "stop-sign cube" (some people think Megaminxes look like stop signs, I don't know how the hell it works).

(Talking about how methods aren't actually solving the cube)

Disclaimer: this is honestly just me venting my rage about non cubers. you don't have to read this whole thing.

Someone at my lunch table at school that I had never met before literally said "can I play with that". I'm not just gonna give my cube to a stranger. Also kids at school who I let scramble it scramble it like behind their back cuz "I cant look at it cuz I'll just solve it backwards" like bruh, use common sense. If I have a cube, if I have a cube in public, I'm gonna know how to solve it regardless. And then I say that my best is 14, and they scramble it , and expect me to equal it in a less than ideal environment, with no inspection and no warm-up. And when they count out loud, not accurately, it messes with my head. Then when I get like a 20, then they're like "oh you lied about how fast you can solve it " and I'm like bruh. People are just like WOW its a Rubik's cube omg omg he can solve it WOW, and they come up and say something that is not cuber-like , like "oh I saw you solve the white side" and then they walk away with a smug look on their faces and think that they are so knowledgeable about cubing. Thank you for reading my rage problem

I once was having a conversation with a non-cuber who kept saying that you could just make/buy a cube that can solve itself, and use it in comp. When you did your attempt, you could just magically wave your hands around the cube so fast no one could see it solving itself, And then if the cube made any noise, you could pretend to sneeze. As if no one would OBVIOUSLY see this.

Also when they say they solved a side just because the white is matching, but the side colors aren't.
