What did the Peak Cube have? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of it.

It had clear internals, but you could switch out the clear plastic for black plastic pieces. It also had 4 springs in each center and a "wheelbase slider" which was just a tension setting

Ah, I've never seen this video, thanks! Yeah, that was a weird cube indeed. I did like the clear internals though.

The new releases (4×4 & 5×5) are neither one of the same nice quality and build as the previously released S4M

Diansheng called it the "Solar System S4M"
but the two new releases are only called "Solar M" (4×4×4 and 5×5×5)

The good S4M has white or black internals and capped design pieces and a high glossy finish

The new brackish watered down 4x4 and 5x5 are the same split-piece design of their standard non-Solar puzzles... I have that 5x5 and it pretty much sucks... not even as good as the Meilong 5M

...kinda think I'll bet these two "Solar M" are sucky ones also
but with cheaper frosted plastic and UV

in a nutshell, DS still has not come up/come out with a
"Solar System S5M"

... is there hope???

That was a good catch, I almost bought them before you pointed out that is wasn't the new version. They did just release the UV version of the better Solar System line I think? The plot thickens-ers. Still not the 5x5 I am waiting for though

Yeah, me neither... still waiting...
I have the Solar S4M, quite nice, and I get nearly the same times on it as I do with the Aosu GTS2M and MGC 4

Earlier this year I ordered what was labelled as DS SOLAR 5×5 but it seemed to be literally the same (lame) basic DS 5×5 (not as good as Meikong 5M) that DS had already released, just in a (slightly) different box...
and not at all the higher quality I was expecting due to having already gotten the Solar S4M...
apparently it pays to really check the full name of the cubes these days ha

I was helping my parents build a shelf in the living room when a pole fell and killed my parents' TV. And I have to pay for either a repair or a whole new TV. Hoo-frickin-ray.

The question "why" implies that there is any other reason to break a TV other than by accident, which makes no sense.
