Malaysia Cube Championship 2023

It's been 18 days since registration opened and only 178 registered and it has a 500 competitior limit. Every comp in Malaysia after this one will have an admin fee. On top of that, every event you want to compete in will increase your reg fee so this is going to be the most expensive comp to register for me and I only competed in 7 events.

anyway, my goals for this comp is just to simply get a sub 13 offical 3x3 average which for some reason didn't happen even though I've been averaging 12s for a while and to get into round 2 for 3x3. Yiheng and Nahm are coming so this will be exicting! (Actually Yiheng is coming to pretty much every comp in Malaysia at this point)

Today's the day! Right now, it's 5bld. Maybe Hill Pong can break the WR again

Hill Pong got a 2:19.76 5bld single, DNF the rest. Although not WR or AsR, he will still likely become Malaysian Champion.

So FMC was delayed due to 5bld but it is starting right now. Also I still have another 5 hours to wait before my first event so I have pretty much nothing to do for 5 hours besides practicing 6x6.

It's 4bld right now. And Theodore Chan got 5:59.88 Singaporean NR 5bld single!

So Hill Pong didn't get another WR but he did become Malaysian Champion. 6x6 is starting soon so It'll finally be my time to compete. FMC only got 1 round here, the other ones are probably canceled.

Anyu Zhang (张安宇) got 1:58.56 NR 7x7 mean and 1:50.62 NR 7x7 single!

So I finished 6x6 and got a 2:39, 2:14 and 2:23 (wasn't expecting the 2:14 lol). And after that I judged Nahm and he got 1:13.37 AsR 6x6 mean!

It's day 2! Yiheng and Nahm are doing a GAN smart cube battle

I finished 3x3 and got a 13.88 average, pretty bad... But hopefully I make it to the second round to improve my time

Made it to second round for 2x2 with a 5.29 average! And got PR pyraminx single and average! Also Nigel Phang got 2.95 Singaporean NR Skewb average!

I got overall PB 4x4 ao5 with a counting 38! For 5x5 I got a 1:15 which is PR single. Also Nahm got 33.82 AsR 5x5 single!

I finally did my goal! 12.59 average in the second round! Also surprisingly I made 6x6 finals but ended up in last place. Right now it's 3bld finals so the place is pretty silent.
